Brayden Peterson breaks course record & wins Concord Cup

Brayden Peterson won the Concord Cup by eight shots from newly appointed State Boys Team Captain Grant Booth. He shot a course record 64 in the morning round followed by a 71 in the afternoon for a tournament record score of 135 (which has been in place since 1935). A grinning Brayden said ” I have been playing well lately but you can never predict when a course record round will happen…I just played really well.” The Concord Cup is a 36 hole stroke event hosted by Concord Golf Club. It forms part of the Golf NSW Vardon Trophy competition and is the final selection event for the 2014 Boy&aposs State Team. National-NSW Coach Dean Kinney said, “It will certainly help his cause with the state men&aposs team selection only a couple of weeks away.” For full results [click here]
