Brennan leads by one

New South Welshman Michael Brennan has fired a six-under-par round of 64 to open up a one stroke lead after three rounds of the South Australian PGA. Starting the day three shots from the lead Brennan made some early birdies to move into contention and is now well placed for his first career title, sitting at 13-under-par. A shot behind Brennan is little known Victorian Ben Wharton, while a further stroke adrift at 11-under-par are fellow Victorian&aposs Andrew Martin and Chris Gaunt. At 10-under-par and in equal fifth position are a group of five players including former Davis Cup tennis player Scott Draper. Draper fired an opening round of 74 and was in danger of missing the cut, but a second round of 64 and a third round of 62 has given the 34-year-old a chance of claiming the title. Overnight leader Timothy Cameron had a day he would rather forget, stumbling to a two-over-par round of 72 to finish at eight-under-par and in a tie for 13th position.
