Women&aposs Dunes Medal Final Results New South Wales state team member Adriana Brent has won the 2010 Dunes Medal following a play-off with Queensland National Squad member Ashley Ona at The Dunes Golf Links in Rye, Victoria. Ona led the tournament after 36 and 54 holes but Brent pulled level with her in the final round to force a play off. It was a remarkable comeback for Brent who opened with a 9-over par 81 and then completed a 13 stroke turnaround with a second round 68. A third round 3-under par 69 left her just one stroke behind Ona going into the final round. Ona opened with rounds of 74-72-71 but closed with a 76. Brent finished with a 75. Victorian Breanna Elliott finished in third place, six strokes behind Brent and Ona, while Justine Lee (NSW) finished a further two strokes back. Men&aposs Dunes Medal Final Results In the men&aposs championship, Victorian Deyen Lawson won his first Dunes Medal with a three stroke victory. Lawson opened the tournament with rounds of 75-71 before an explosive 8-under par 64 and 4-under par 68 handed him the title. Matthew Steiger (NSW) finished with a final round 2-under par 70 to be in second place. Victorian pair Daniel Valente and James McMillan finished in third and fourth place respectively. Asian, European and PGA Tour players Marcus Fraser, Brett Rumford and Jason Day have all competed in the event.
