Yorke Peninsula Winners Day 1 saw 48 players play in the District Qualifying event with good scoring across the field led by Billy Cawthorne with a fine 65 off the stick and Caillin Lakin setting the pace for girls with a 77. District Qualifying was fierce with the Southern District again setting the pace as top qualifier with South East, Northern and fast improving Riverland rounding out Division 1. Division 2 was also a tight struggle with Yorke Peninsula being the top qualifier with Eyre, Mid North and undermanned Murray Lands rounding out the division. Match play round starting on Day 2 with some real upsets in Division 1 especially Riverland accounting for Southern 3 /2 in the morning and then again defeating South East 3/2 in the afternoon. In Division 2 in the morning, YP accounted for Murraylands 3/2 whilst the Mid North defeated Eyre 3/2 . In the afternoon YP was too strong for for Mid North 3/2 and Eyre got over Murraylands 5/0 Day 3 was exciting all-round with three teams from each division having a chance to win their respective trophy. Division One ended up being as close as it comes with James Searles from Riverland and Daniel Warren from Northern fighting it to the 6th extra hole with James winning, resulting in the Riverland triumphant after many years in the wilderness. South East were unlucky in finishing second while having won more individual games than the Riverland but they needed Northern to beat Riverland to become winners. Division Two was also down to the wire with YP eventually being the winners overcoming Eyre 3 games to 2 giving them 3 matches won. Once again Mid North had more individual games won but one less match and needed Eyre to beat YP to become winners. 2013 Brett Ogle Cup was a huge success due the tightness of competition and improvement in the playing standard.
