Bringolf, Macpherson hit US schedule

NSW&aposs Daniel Bringolf tees off tonight at the Rice Planters Amateur at Snee Farm Country Club in South Carolina, a month after winning the Malaysian Amateur Championship. Bringolf, who represented Australia at The Ashes at Elanora Country Club earlier this year, is one of four Australians to play the event, where current Golf Australia Rookie Squad member Matt Griffin is a former champion. Andrew Cooper, Ryan Lynch and Mitchell Davis make up the rest of the Australian contingent. Newly crowned British Amateur champion Bryden Macpherson will tee off in the NorthEast Amateur at Wannamoisett Country Club on Wednesday. Macpherson is the only Australian in the field at the Rhode Island event. The Northeast Amateur is celebrating its 50th year of hosting many of the best amateur players in the world.
