Bronze Teams Cup goes to Shepparton

Another successful women’s event was completed today at Patterson River Golf Club. The traditional Bronze Teams’ Event was contested amongst 17 teams. These teams represented golf clubs from all corners of the State, some traveling quite long distances to participate and support the event.

And it was Shepparton Golf Club who took the honours in what turned to be a perfect day for golf. Marg Carroll, Norma Pollock and Vivien Harding claimed the trophy with a combined aggregate of 98 stableford points. The Kew team came just one point short after all players consistently achieved scores in the mid 30s.

Sue Taylor from Riversdale completed the round with 39 stableford points to take the Best Individual Score on a count back over Shepparton’s Vivien Harding.

The Bronze Teams’ Event is a great opportunity for players with GA handicaps 19 to 45 to represent their club in a State level competition. Players complemented the golf course layout and its presentation as it suits the handicap range for this competition.

Special thank you to Patterson River Golf Club, their members and staff for your support with this event. You have made 51 victorian women golfers very happy!!! Click here to see results.
