Brown finishes seventh in Thailand

Mitchell Brown has closed with a three-under par 68 to finish in a tie for seventh place at the Bangkok Airways Open in Koh Samui, Thailand. Brown finished the tournament at eight-under par, five shots adrift of tournament winner Thaworn Wiratchant. The Thai veteran shot a solid 68 to claim the victory after overnight leader Lien Le-sen shot a disastrous five-over par 76 to move out of contention. Japan&aposs Shintaro Kai finished outright second one stroke ahead of a group of four players. The story of the day belonged to little-known Australian Brad Kennedy, who shot an amazing 10 birdies on his way to the best round of the day and a tie for 13th. Rick Kulacz capped off a good tournament with a one-under par 70 to finish in ninth, while Adam Blyth also finished strongly in a tie for 17th. David Gleeson&aposs impressive form didn&apost continue with the 30-year-old shooting a disappointing four-over par to ruin any chance he had of victory.
