Local Somers resident Bryden Macpherson continued his excellent form at The Dunes with a stunning course-record 63 to move 8 strokes clear of the field. The record, held by European Tour professional Marcus Fraser, fell on Thursday afternoon as Macpherson backed up his opening rounds of 64 and 72. Macpherson leads former National Squad member Luke Bleumink by eight strokes with National Squad member Scott Arnold a further stroke back. In the women&aposs event, Sarah King leads the field by four strokes from Stephanie Na. King&aposs consistent rounds of 70, 69 and 72 have kept her at the top of the leaderboard. Victorian Stacey Keating is a further three strokes behind Na.
