PHOTO GALLERY Thursday 13th October Ken Cagney and Brett Jaeger from Charlestown GC have defended their overnight lead to take out the sureshotgps Men&aposs Fourball State Final at Bonville Golf Resort. The field were greeted with overcast conditions for the second and final round of the sureshotgps Men’sFourball State Final at Bonville Golf Resort. With the overnight leaders last to tee off it was up to the rest to issue the challenge, and that they did. The Brunton brothers, Tony and Paul, from Tathra Beach GC shot 44 to back up their 40. Martin Smith and Stewart Crow (St Michael s GC) came in with 45 points to go with their first round of 42 for a combined 87 points and 3rd place overall. The Concord GC pairing of Richard Baldini and Phil Binskin backed up their first round of 43 with a 46 to come in with a combined 89, however this would only be good enough for second place. In the end it was to be Ken Cagney and Brett Jaeger from Charlestown GC to take away the victory. The pair combined well on the final day to have 45 points to post a combined total of 91 points. Full Results Check out the Video Wednesday 12th October The first round of the sureshotgps Men’sFourball State Final has been completed with a majority of the field remaining in contention for the final round tomorrow. At the top of the leader board is a two way tie with both Ken Cagney/Brett Jaeger (Charlestown GC) and Gas Zoabi/Ennio Alberici (Liverpool GC) carding 46 points. Three shots adrift are the pair from Concord GC, Richard Baldini and Phil Binskin. Four teams sit another shot back with Don Hill/Colin Mulligan (Guyra GC), Mick McKechnie/Kim Rawlings (Oberon GC), Martin Smith/Stuart Crow (St Michael s GC) and Robert Wicks/Don Casson (Woolgoolga RSL GC) all posting 42 points. Day 1 Results & Day 2 Draw Play commenced with sunny skies and fantastic conditions the order of the day at Bonville Golf Resort for the State Final of the sureshotgps Men’sFourball Championship. 80 golfers from across New South Wales have come together to test their golfing mettle over two days at the spectacular North Coast facility in what will surely be a highlight of their sporting careers. Pre-Event Article 20 metropolitan and 20 country pairs will battle the 2011 sureshotgps Men&aposs Fourball Championship State Final being held at Bonville Golf Resort on 11-13 October 2011. The event started back in January with club qualifying rounds. Winners at club level then progressed to district / metropolitan play-offs. These play-offs determined the State Finalists. List of State Finalists Activities will kick off on Tuesday 11 October with a welcome BBQ for the players before they take to the course on Wednesday and Thursday. The event concludes with a presentation dinner on Thursday night to reward players for their efforts and to provide a festive finale to a fantastic event.
