One lucky entrant will win a holiday for two people including return flights to Mauritius, seven nights accommodation at the luxurious 5-star Hilton Resort & Spa, $1000 spending money, return private car transfers, and breakfast and dinner daily. The winning club will be crowned the People s Choice at the 2013 ClubsNSW Clubs and Community event on the 31st May 2013 and will receive a $10,000 cash prize to be split between the club and a charity of their choice. ClubsNSW CEO Anthony Ball said that the People s Choice Award recognises the club who has had the biggest impact in their local community. With more than 7 million club memberships in NSW and close to 180 million visits through the doors of our 1,400 clubs, we know that a lot of people love their local club, he said. There are so many ways that clubs support their communities whether it s providing uniforms for the local soccer team or offering affordable family-friendly dining. The People s Choice competition is a chance for people to show just how much their local club means to the community. The best part of the People s Choice competition is that it s been designed so that any club no matter how big or small has an equal chance of winning. Last year s winner, Club Sapphire Merimbula, isn t the biggest club in the state, but their passionate staff and focus on quality dining and entertainment proved popular with members and inspired them to get behind the club and vote.
