The semi final between Anthony Quayle and Cameron John was always going to be a close affair.
On the front 9 the pair put on an impressive ball striking and putting display trading birdies back and forth, at the turn Anthony held a 1up advantage.
Cameron bounced back with wins on the 10th and 11th only for Anthony to take the 12th to move the match back to all square.
Anthony made the only mistake of the day on 16 three putting allowing Cameron to close out the match on 17.
This was definitely the match of the week with the two Australians leaving everything on the table.
Cameron moved into the final this afternoon against Brazilian Andre Tourinho.
After spending a lot of mental energy in the mornings match Cameron found himself three down through the first four holes.
In true fashion Cameron continued his gritty attitude he has displayed all week clawing the lead back and by the turn had the match back to all square.
The momentum continued in Cameron's favour eventually closing the match out on the 17th to win 2/1.
Congratulations Cameron John on winning the 120th Argentine Amateur Championship!
This tops off a great couple of weeks in Argentina with two guys who represented both themselves and Australia very well.
