Campbell caps year with International selection

Nikki Campbell will today become the first Australian to feature in an International golf team when she takes the course against the Asians at the Lexus Cup in Singapore. Her selection on the International team caps a stellar year for the 26-year old who captured the ALPG Order of Merit and won the Suntory Open in Japan. Campbell&aposs first assignment will be a foursome&aposs match with team mate Sherri Steinhauer against Candie Kung and Jennifer Rosales. The two-day match play event boasts a strong field including Laura Davies, Natalie Gulbis, Paula Creamer and world number one, Annika Sorenstam who will captain the Internationals. The Asian team will be led by Grace Park and features four-time LPGA major winner Se-Ri Pak of Korea and former Rookie of the Year in Japan and the USA, Hee-Won Han. The Lexus Cup is a relatively new event that made its debut last year. The International team triumphed 16-8 and will look to repeat the dose as players return to the Tanah Merah Country Club.
