Camperdown Golf Club, located in south-western Victoria, is the proud winner of April’s MyGolf Centre of the Month award.
Camperdown became a registered MyGolf Centre in September 2014, soon to be followed by its first MyGolf program held throughout November.
Since taking up the program, the Camperdown Golf Club has proven to be a MyGolf success, sky-rocketing from six participants to a total of 40 enrolled ambitious MyGolfers by April, 2016.
MyGolf co-ordinator Darren Frost explains that it was a surprise to receive so many participants within the MyGolf program at such an accelerated rate: “Last year there were 12 entries, this year we had to cap it at 40!”
Darren also highlights his appreciation of the help that he receives throughout the club in order to run and maintain such a successful program.
“This year we ran the MyGolf program between 4-5pm on a Tuesday evening and had to call on extra volunteers to help run the sessions, as well as source extra golf clubs,” Darren said.
“Tony Collier needs to be congratulated for his work with the local primary schools, where he has been running golf programs for the last 10-15 years.”
Darren is extremely proud of the way that the participants have immediately reacted to the program, as well as their willingness to learn and participate.
“All the participants have been very keen to learn the basics of playing golf and the techniques involved.”
Congratulations to Darren and the team at Camperdown Golf Club for implementing and delivering such a successful MyGolf program.
The MyGolf Team looks forward to continue helping you to succeed in the future.
Keep up the great work!
