Talented North Coast junior Riley Taylor is a classic example of how dedication and hard work really pays off. The Casino youngster is one of only nine cadets chosen to be part of the North Coast Academy of Sport Golf Program. NCAS offers a high level golf curriculum to assist emerging elite junior golfers.

During his time in the program Riley has attended NCAS camps at the Bonville Golf Resort and reduced his handicap from 12 to 1. He placed second in both the 2012 Boy’s NSW Amateur – 13 years and under, and the 2013 Hills Australian Junior Open – 15 years and under.

Riley was introduced to the game of golf at the tender age of three when his father took him out to the course. You can now find him there every day honing his skills in the hopes of one day entering the professional ranks.

Without the assistance of organisations like the NCAS juniors like Riley would not experience the success they do. These academies offer resources and opportunities to young people in regional areas, helping them to become high level athletes. JNJG works with a number of these regional academies across the state to promote junior golf and produce elite golfers.
