Castle Hill to host Faldo Series Aust Champs 2018

Castle Hill Country Club in Sydney will host the 2018 Faldo Series Australian Championships from 3-4 December.

The event is open to 100 boys and girls aged 12-21 years. It is played over 54-holes stroke play with the overall champion (boy or girl) and the winner from each age category invited to attend the Faldo Series Asia Grand Final at the Faldo designed course at Laguna Lang Co, Da Nang, Vietnam.

The Grand Final includes coaching and access to Sir Nick Faldo and Faldo Series coaches over the course of the week. Players selected to participate in the Asian Final will be determined in age categories – boys under 21 years, under 18 years and under 16 years, and girls under 21 year and under 16 years.

The Faldo Series was created in 1996 and aims to create access to the sport for a younger audience through grass-roots initiatives at its tournaments. It expanded to Asia in 2006 and today 40 Faldo Series tournaments take place in over 30 countries worldwide, touching more than 7,000 golfers each year. Past winners include Yani Tseng and Rory McIlroy, both multiple Major winners.

The 2017 Australian Faldo Series overall Champion was Jordan Garner from NSW.
