It will be a celebrity battle of sporting and media codes at Moore Park Golfon Friday 21 November 2014 when it hosts the long drive tournament as part of Playgolf WEEK(17-23 November), a national initiative which aims to grow golf participation in Australia.
The main event will see celebrities such as Moises Henriques (Sydney Sixes), Pat Cummins (Sydney Thunder), Josh Childress (Sydney Kings) and many more take on each other in a ‘battle of the sporting codes’ long drive challenge on Moore Park Golf’s newly refurbished Driving Range.
The tournament, which is held in partnership with Golf NSW, Cobra/Puma Golf and Golf Australia, will stream live directly onto Moore Park Golf’s high-definition BIG screen – the world’s first ever big screen on a driving range.
Former Australian Long Drive Champion, Mark Bylsma, will host the event and there will be a live DJ, prizes and giveaways on the day.
Moore Park Golf will host a number of activities during Playgolf WEEK for golfing novices and enthusiasts, including Come Try days, free coaching opportunities with PGA pros, product demonstrations, trial memberships plus much more.
