Golf Australia CEO Stephen Pitt has extended the sport&aposs thanks to outgoing Federal Sports Minister, Senator Kate Lundy. “I&aposd like to thank Senator Lundy for her support and interest in golf,” Pitt said. “Senator Lundy has achieved a number of important outcomes in the sport portfolio, not least of which are the amendments to the ASADA Bill which Senator Lundy championed. These new powers are critical for ASADA&aposs ongoing work in combatting doping in sport.” “We were also pleased to have Senator Lundy join us for several days in February at the ISPS Handa Women&aposs Australian Open where she got to see the best elements of golf on display as the world&aposs finest battled it out at Royal Canberra.” We look forward to working with the new Federal Sports Minister, Senator Don Farrell, to maintain our progress in growing golf in Australia,” Pitt concluded.
