Chalmers chases classic win

Greg Chalmers remains well in contention only three shots off the pace after the third round of the Johnnie Walker Classic in New Delhi. The Australian carded a four-under par 68 on Saturday to move into a tie for fourth position at 11-under. Chalmers is chasing Japan s Taichiro Kiyota after he pulled off a miraculous birdie on the par-five 18th to snatch a one stroke lead. Kiyota, who shot a five-under par 67 to move to 14-under for the tournament, overshot the final green into the grandstand before recovering with a superb pitch shot to five feet from the hole to set up an unlikely birdie. New Zealander Mark Brown was the big mover of the day shooting a blistering eight-under 64 to move into a share of second position alongside hometown hero Jyoti Randhawa at 13-under par. Brown, who won last week&aposs SAIL Open in India on the Asian Tour, had an eventful round which included two eagles, seven birdies and three bogeys. Scott Strange is the second best Australian in the field at 10-under par while compatriots Scott Barr, Adam Bland, Tony Carolan, Scott Laycock, Kane Webber and Paul Sheehan are all at eight-under the card. Overnight leader Unho Park plummeted down the leaderboard after shooting a three-over par 75 to drop back to seven-under. Adam Scott also slipped out of contention with a two-over 74 while world No. 11 Vijay Singh shot a 69 to remain five off the pace.
