Two-time Australian Boys&apos Amateur Champion – Anthony Murdaca 2010 Australian Boys Amateur Champion Anthony Murdaca from The Grange Golf Club has followed in the footsteps of World Number 7 Adam Scott by winning his second Australian Boys Amateur Championship held earlier this month at Pinjarra Golf Club, south of Perth. Murdaca finished at 16-under par after rounds of 66-66-71-69 and becomes just the third player in history to win the title multiple times, joining Scott (1997/1998) and Kiwi Grant Waite (1982/1983) with multiple victories. As Captain of the Junior State Team, Murdaca then lead the SA Boys to equal 3rd with New South Wales in the Australian Boys Interstate Series at Bunbury Golf Club in Western Australia. Murdaca, who is a product of Golf SA&aposs High Performance Program, has a busy time ahead, jetting off to Tasmania for the Men’sInterstate Series from Tuesday 30 April to Friday 3 May. Upon his return, he will be focusing on his year 12 studies before preparing for the Emirates Australian Open from 28 November – 1 December 2013 at Royal Sydney Golf Club, where he has earned an exemption into the main field. Murdaca played his first Open as a 15 year-old, missing the cut by a solitary stroke in 2010, finishing 2-over with rounds of 74, 72 (146) at The Lakes Golf Club.
