City Golf Club extends sponsorship

Golf Queensland is pleased to announce that the City Golf Club has re-signed its sponsorship of two highly participated championships.

The City Golf Club will continue as the major sponsor of the Queensland Men's Sand Green Championship and Queensland Men's Country Week Championship.

"Golf Queensland is delighted that the City Golf Club has re-signed as a sponsor for the next three years," said Golf Queensland CEO Lindsay Ellis.

"The City Golf Club has supported these tournaments since 2011 helping to ensure we can continue to showcase these events on the calendar.

"Golf Queensland is very appreciative of the City Golf Club's support for regional golf," Mr Ellis said.

The City Golf Club CEO Peter Constance said he was looking forward to continuing the partnership with Golf Queensland for another three years.

"The City Golf Club is once again delighted to be in a position to support the game of golf in Queensland," Mr Constance said.

"Our association with such time honoured events on the Queensland golfing calendar is an honour. We trust that these tournaments will enable many golfers in the state to participate in a championship and enjoy the game and camaraderie on offer."

Located in Toowoomba, the City Golf Club's magnificent 18 hole course is the host of the Coca Cola Queensland PGA Championship. City Golf Club is a full service golf club, offering bar and dining, entertainment, function centre, onsite motel, driving range and mini golf facilities.

The Queensland Men's Sand Green Championship will be held 9-11 June at Blackall Golf Club, with the Queensland Men's Country Week Championship being held 14-18 August at Redcliffe, Keperra and Indooroopilly Golf Clubs.
