Semi Finals for the 2016 Australian Men’s Senior Match Play Championship saw top seed Gordon Claney and 13th seed Alan Bullas go head to head in a Victorian shoot out, with underdog and 26th seed Lester Peterson (NSW) battling 6th seed Michael Barltrop.
Deserved favourite at the beginning of the Championship, Claney was able to lead from start to finish in the semi-final and took out the match against Bullas 5&4, meanwhile Peterson’s stellar run was brought to a halt with Barltrop cruising to a 5&4 win also.
The final will be played Thursday afternoon, with both players wanting to take out their maiden Australian Match Play Championship.
