Gordon Claney (Kingston Heath) will take a one-shot lead into the final round of the 2019 Cobram Barooga Senior Open.
Claney, a former winner of the event, leads on 150 over Cobram Barooga’s own Gary Hunt.
The pair have distanced themselves from the rest of the field with John Keller (Hill Top), Rex Suckling (Barham) and Rob Wallace (Midlands) all next on 157.
Ignatius Duivenvoorden fired an impressive 65 nett in the second round to lead the overall nett by four shots.
Chasing Duivenvoorden will be round one leader Ray Findlay.
The Cobram Barooga member backed up his round one score of 68 with a 75 in his second round.
In the women’s stableford, Sharon Arnold (Gisborne) will take a commanding five shot lead into Thursday’s final round.
Arnold, on 74 points, leads by five points over Cobram Barooga’s Betty Cranston on 69.
A further shot back and in third place is Centenary Park’s Rhonda Pelzer on 68.
Cobram Barooga’s Mark Jaensch leads the way in the men’s stableford on 74 points.
Jaensch leads by five over fellow Cobram Barooga member John Scandrett and Nelson Bay’s Ian Sandy.
