Gordon Claney has produced a magnificent three under 69 to convincingly take out the 2019 Cobram Barooga Senior Open.
The Kingston Heath member finished nine shots clear of round one leader and Cobram Barooga member Gary Hunt.
Claney finished with an impressive 54-hole total of 219, seeing him move into top position of the 2019 Doug Bachli rankings.
In the men’s nett section, Cobram Barooga’s Ray Findlay stormed home to close out the tournament on 210.
This was enough to see Findlay victorious by three shots over 36-hole leader Ignatius Duivenvoorden (Yarram).
Cheryl Kelly (Devilbend) finished with 103 points for the three rounds to take home the overall women’s stableford trophy.
Numurkah’s Julie Daniel finished runner-up to Kelly on 101.
Cobram Barooga’s Mark Jaensch was a convincing winner in the men’s stableford finishing seven shots clear on 109.
The next best was another Cobram Barooga member in Graham Kerr.
After another successful event at Cobram, the senior tour continues on to Box Hill this Friday.
