Coca-Cola, Bank of Melbourne & HOSTPLUS round out support

Major companies Coca-Cola Amatil, Bank of Melbourne and HOSTPLUS have thrown their support behind the 2014 Oates Vic Open, committing to corporate partnerships with the event that starts next week at Thirteenth Beach Golf Links.

Coca-Cola Amatil (CCA) continues their support of the event as a Premium Partner and the official non-alcoholic beverage supplier, whilst Bank of Melbourne and HOSTPLUS will be involved for the first time at a Championship Partner level.

Boasting industry leading brands such as Powerade, Mt. Franklin and Coca-Cola soft drink, CCA will ensure all players, officials and spectators will remain hydrated throughout tournament week with refreshment centres being located throughout the venue including the soon to be introduced tented village by the practice putting green on the Beach Course.

As the only full-service bank focused solely on Victoria, Bank of Melbourne is passionate about supporting organisations and events that matter to local communities. Geelong and the surrounding region is an important market for the bank and its growth plans. It is proud to partner with this exciting event on the sporting calendar.

For HOSTPLUS, the Oates Vic Open adds to an already strong golf partnership portfolio that the leading super fund for hospitality, tourism, recreation and sport is involved with. HOSTPLUS is proud of its on-going partnership with Golf Australia, Golf Management Australia and the ISPS Handa Australian Women’s Open.

Golf Victoria CEO, Simon Brookhouse was thrilled to welcome such iconic brands to align themselves with the Oates Vic Open.

“As we countdown the days till the start of the 2014 tournament, I’m thrilled to announce Coca-Cola Amatil will continue their support of the Oates Vic Open having started the journey at Thirteenth Beach with us last year. I’d also like to welcome on board Bank of Melbourne who have shown a real interest in working with golf and are expanding into the Geelong region.

“HOSTPLUS are fantastic supporters of Australian golf and it’s a great result for the Oates Vic Open that has shown significant growth over the past two years to welcome such a high calibre partner to our mix. We thank Coca-Cola Amatil, Bank of Melbourne and HOSTPLUS for their commitment and look forward to another great Open in just over a week,” said Brookhouse.

Following the inaugural year of the Oates Vic Open at Thirteenth Beach in 2013 that attracted record spectator numbers, the anticipation for this year’s event is at fever pitch. With two strong fields of men’s and women’s players assembled including Jarrod Lyle, Laura Davies, Richard Green and defending women’s champion Stacey Keating, the calibre of golf and entertainment will be at an extremely high level for the thousands of spectators predicted to attend.
