Coletta Wins Tamar Valley Junior Cup

17-year-old Victorian Brett Coletta has taken out this year s boys championship at the Tamar Valley Junior Cup. Coletta convincingly won the event with rounds of 69, 70, 71 and 69, a 72-hole nine-under-par total of 279. 15-year-old Lawry Flynn from the Brisbane Golf Club placed second, five strokes behind Coletta with scores of 71, 69, 74 and 70. Tasmania s Jack Tregaskisjago and Victoria s Kyle Michel tied for third place with two-under-par totals of 286. 14-year-old Konomi Matsumoto of Victoria has taken out the corresponding girls championship. Matsumoto won the event by a massive nine strokes from her nearest rival. The Victoria Golf Club junior gradually improved throughout the 72-hole event with scores of 77, 75, 74 and 71, finishing with a nine-over-par total of 297. Queensland s Kirsty Hodgkins placed second on eighteen-over-par with scores of 79, 77, 73, 77, a total of 306. To download a full list of scores from the event please click here
