Come and Try Swing Fit at #WomensAusOpen

Swing Fit, Australia’s new national program to promote female participation in golf, has come to Adelaide and can be enjoyed alongside the world’s best female golfers!

Come and Try sessions are being held at the upcoming ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open and are open to any female interested in trying; both beginners and for current golfers who might like to help introduce a friend to golf.

“Swing Fit is a combination of fun, fitness and friends,” Adelaide Swing Fit deliverer Sarah Douglass-Norris explained.

“One minute you are hitting golf balls, the next you are performing yoga-style exercises and then next – and often the best – you are sitting around chatting and laughing with some new-found friends!”

Swing Fit has been developed based on what women want; that is a golfing experience that focuses on health and fitness in a social environment. And better yet, rather than slogging away in a claustrophobic gym, you are outside in a beautiful and natural environment.

Free Swing Fit sessions will be held on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday of Women’s Australian Open week (Feb 18, 19, 20 and 21) at The Grange Golf Club – the host club for this year’s tournament. Registration includes a free ticket to the Open, so participants can enjoy watching the world’s best female golfers after their session!

Have kids? Not to worry! While you enjoy your Swing Fit experience, let Golf Australia staff provide your children with a fun and challenging experience at the MyGolf interactive zone (only applicable on the weekend). This includes hitting golf balls into a giant inflatable, games, and prizes – all for free!

To register for a Come and Try Swing Fit session, visit swingfit.com.au and search postcode 5023.
