Community Golf Coach 1

The Golf Australia Community Golf Coach 1 Course is an Australian Sports Commission approved National Coaching Accreditation Scheme course that provides introductory golf coaching training. The course is designed for beginner coaches including: club personnel interested in developing junior and beginner programs parents school teachers students Units that are covered include: Beginning Coaching General Principles* Role of the Community Golf Coach Golf&aposs Life Skills National Junior Framework & Pathway MYGolf National Skills Challenge Program Working with Schools Inclusive Coaching Playing the Game Risk Management Golf Coaching Skills Teaching Golf Fundamentals Planning and Conducting a Coaching Session Funding Opportunities Recommended Resources and Contacts *Candidates are also required to complete the Australian Sports Commissions Online Beginning Coaching General Principles course prior to undertaking the Community Golf Coach 1 Course. This is a free self paced course that takes approximately 6 hours to complete and can be accessed by Clicking Here The course takes one day to complete and involves both theoretical and practical components.
