"It was beautiful this morning. There's a little bit of dew on the greens, but that will clear away," he said.

Joel said that fans who turn up today could expect warm weather and mostly sunny skies, ideal conditions for watching golf.

"It will be tops of 31 degrees today. It's saying mostly sunny with a slight chance of showers, but that should stay away."

As for the weekend, Scalzi was saying with the unique Coffs climate things can always change.

"At this stage, there's a chance of showers tomorrow and 27, and they are saying it's going to get up to 30 with a chance of showers on Saturday and Sunday.

"It will still be great for the golf," he smiled.
