Congratulations on the Fourth Fayde Points Challenge

The fourth Fayde Points Challenge event for the year was held at City Golf Club on Sunday 3rd June. Teeing off in very chilly conditions, 56 players eventually warmed up to enjoy a beautiful winter’s day. The overall boy’s winner was Maroochy River junior Tyler Quaill playing off a handicap of 9, with 40 points. In the girl’s competition the overall winner was Mackenzie Devine off a handicap of 10 from Pacific Golf Club with 36 points.

Thank you to City Golf Club for hosting and once again to Fayde Golf for sponsoring this event and the Points Challenge Series. After round four rounds the overall standings in the Fayde Points Challenge Series are as follows:

The next Fayde Points Challenge event will be played at Oxley Golf Club on Sunday 22nd July, tee off from 11:00am onwards on the 1st & 10th Tees. Entries open on Monday 11th June. For more information, please visit the events website.

The event was played in conjunction with the annual Ken Layton Memorial Trophy. Ken Layton was a well-respected and long-standing member of City Golf Club. The winner of the Ken Layton Foundation Cup – Best Nett was Tyler Quaill from Maroochy River Golf Club with 66, and the winner on a count back of the Best Gross Honour Board Event was George Giblett from Noosa Golf Club with 73, off a handicap of 1.
