Conran finishes fourth

Australian veteran Steven Conran has finished in a tie for fourth place at the Vana H Cup KBC in Fukuoka, Japan. Conran was at his consistent best with three rounds of 70 and a 71 to finish at seven-under for the tournament, three strokes behind winner Shintaro Kai. Hidemasa Hoshino finished in second place, while Kiwi Eddie Lee was in a group of four at eight-under and a tie for third. Chris Campbell was the next best Aussie in a tie for 30th, while Scott Laycock performed admirably to finish at one-over and a tie for 37th. Craig Parry, Paul Sheehan, Craig Jones, Wayne Perske and Benjamin Burge all had disappointing tournaments and failed to make the cut.
