Conran third in Nagoya

Steven Conran finished tied for third at The Crowns, ending up four shots behind eventual winner Michio Matsumura at the Nagoya Golf Club. Australia&aposs Conran signed off at the Japan Golf Tour event with an even-par 70 to be two over. Matsumura carded a final-round three-under 67 to claim the winner&aposs trophy, ahead of Hideki Matsuyama – who also shot a 67 on Sunday. Level with Conran in third was Shingo Katayama, who had a poor finish to his tournament with a three-over 73. Toshinori Muto and Kazuhiro Yamashita rounded out the top five on three over – with Muto the best of the pair for his final 18 holes with a three-under round. Defending champion IJ Jang carded an even par to be seven over overall in a tie for 14th. Brad Kennedy was the next best Australian after Conran, finishing tied for 29th on nine over.
