The Titleist 2 Day Winter Classic was held at Keperra Country Golf Club on Monday 9th and Tuesday 10th July. Chilly, breezy mornings greeted 111 players with the conditions warming during the day.
Mitchell Revie (Hills International GC) claimed the boys’ title with rounds of 73-69 to edge out round 1 leader Jordan Rooke (Wantima GC) by two shots. William Letts (Pacific GC) and Hudson Haddrick (Keperra CGC) closely contested the leaders at every shot and only placed equal third by five shots.
Hannah Reeves (Hills International GC) returned scores of 78-78 to claim the girls’ title by one shot over Links Hope Island GC’s Mia Lines with rounds of 82-75. Jade Longstaff (Redcliffe GC) finished third, beating round 1 leader Andrea Szerszen (Virginia GC) on a countback with an overall score of 158.

Isabella (Izzy) Artcheua had her first hole-in-one off par-3 on the 4th, using a 6-iron, from 153 metres. Artcheua says this made her day but it was not the highlight of her golfing career to date. ‘First day of play wasn’t that great for me, but I made up for it in the second. Keperra is a great course to play!’
In the 9-hole competition, Daniel Brown (Indooroopilly GC) gained the lead from Monday’s Clubhouse leader Aahan Anand (Brookwater G&CC) to win the event with rounds of 45-47. The overall girls champion was won by Mia Love (Windaroo Lakes GC) with rounds of 48-52, for an 18-hole total of 100.
