A dominate Gordon Claney has taken home the 2019 Cranbourne Senior Amateur today. Claney, a member of Kingston Heath, shot a tidy even par 72, including a terrific approach into the par-3 8th for birdie, after an opening 71 to win the event by five strokes.

Stephen Valentine made the most today's cooler conditions with a two-under-par 70 round to move up seven spots and finish tied second with Rossdale's Geoffrey Charnley who lost on a countback on 148.

In the men's nett event, Wayne Phillips (Yering Meadows) secured a three-shot victory with rounds of 71-72 for a 36-hole total of 143.

Lee–Anne Day made her trip down from Ballarat worth while taking home the scratch stableford competition by a comfortable seven shots over Patterson River’s Kay Barcelon.

Regular senior's player Tina Cowie (Pakenham) blitzed the stableford event shooting 29-35 points for an eight shot victory. Cheryl Kelly (Devilbend) finished in second place with 56 points.

Golf Australia would sincerely like to thank the Cranbourne Golf Club for the exceptional hospitality and manner throughout the tournament.
