The St Michaels Golf Club junior carded rounds of 70 and 66, an eight-under total of 136, to lead Victoria’s Jasper Stubbs by eight strokes on even-par.
South Australia’s Jack Buchanan and Queensland’s Mitch Varley are tied for third on one-over-par.
Strahan’s Brady Ludbey, Tasmania’s Tim Smith and Prospect Vale’s Ryan Thomas are tied for eleventh and lead the local charge on five-over-par.
