Daly confirmed for Masters

Colourful golfing identity and two-time Major winner John Daly has confirmed his spot in this year&aposs Australian Masters at Huntingdale. The big-hitting American, who is never far away from controversy, will be a firm fan favourite and is keen to use the Masters as a springboard for the upcoming 2009 European Tour. “I am looking forward to coming back to Australia,” he said. “I&aposve always enjoyed my trips there and I&aposm looking forward to competing at the Australian Masters at Huntingdale.” Daly will be joined by a host of international talent including 2005 US Open Champion Michael Campbell from New Zealand and dual PGA Tour winner Daniel Chopra from Sweden. The Australian contingent will also be strong with Robert Allenby, Stuart Appleby, Nick O Hern, Peter Lonard, Rod Pampling, Craig Parry, John Senden and Scott Strange all confirmed for the event which kicks off on November 27.
