Australian Men’sInterstate Teams Matches Tasmania Golf Club The Victorian team has taken the lead after the opening day of play at the Australian Men’sInterstate Teams Matches at Tasmania Golf Club in Hobart. In breezy conditions, 2013 Victorian Open runner up Nathan Holman and NSW Medallist Tom Power Horan were undefeated on the opening day, helping the Victorians to defeat South Australia 5-2 and Western Australia 4-3. Queensland is in second place following a 5-2 victory Western Australia in the morning before sharing the points with New South Wales in the afternoon. The New South Wales team is in third place after victory over local favourites Tasmania in the morning. South Australia is in fourth place with Tasmania and Western Australia tied fifth. Australian Women’s Interstate Teams Matches Royal Hobart Golf Club A strong opening day performance from the Victorian women’s team gave them the outright lead at the Australian Women’s Interstate Teams Matches at Royal Hobart Golf Club. The Victorians produced dominant 4.5 to 0.5 wins over Western Australia and South Australia with Grace Lennon and Jo Charlton recording strong wins for the leaders. New South Wales leads the chasing pack after defeating Tasmania and halving their contest with Queensland in the afternoon. South Australia and Western Australia are tied in third place while home state Tasmania sits fifth.
