Australian Girls’ Interstate Teams Matches, Round 3&4
The Queensland girls’ team needs to win just one match from its contest with Western Australia tomorrow to be champions and lift the Burtta Cheney Cup.
Playing on home soil, the Queenslanders had comfortable wins over Victoria and New South Wales today to move into an almost unassailable position.
Nadine White and Tiffany-Claire Lewis were among those undefeated for Queensland.
New South Wales is in second place while Western Australia is three matches behind in third place.
Victoria and South Australia round out the table with the final round to be played on Tuesday at Carbrook Golf Club.
Australian Boys’ Interstate Teams Matches, Round 1&2
Victoria and Queensland share the lead following the opening two rounds of the Australian Boys’ Interstate Teams Matches at Pacific Harbour Golf Club.
It was a mirror image in the results with both states defeating New South Wales and Tasmania over the course of the day.
DJ Loypur and Lucas Herbert were undefeated for Victoria while Jake McLeod and Jack Hulyer won both their matches for Queensland.
South Australia is in third place following a solid afternoon win over the Northern Territory while Western Australia is in fourth place and the Northern Territory in fifth.
The ACT team is in sixth while Tasmania and New South Wales round out the table with both teams yet to win a contest.
Rounds 3 and 4 will be played on Tuesday.
