Coffs Harbour’s Emma De Groot is making steady progress in her quest to join the LPGA Tour.
After two rounds, De Groot is sitting in a tie for 70th position at 2-over par 146 after shooting an even par round of 72 in the second round of the LPGA tour school at LPGA International, Daytona Beach, Florida.
She is the best placed Australian as they enter the third round.
Coonabarabran’s Rebecca Artis is in a tie for 139th position at 8-over par after two rounds and has plenty of work left to do if she is to survive the four round cut.
Simin Feng of China and Julie Yang of South Korea share the lead at 9-under Par 135.
The top 20 players after five rounds will earn LPGA Tour cards for 2016, while players ranked 21-45 will gain conditional status.
The five round tournament ends on Sunday.
