Defending champions take charge

Defending Champions Queensland and arch rival New South Wales are leading the 2007 Australian Boys&apos Interstate Teams Matches at Royal Perth Golf Club after four rounds. Queensland easily accounted for the Northern Territory in Round Three, five matches to nil however they had a more difficult contest in the afternoon, narrowly defeating Victoria 3/2. NSW defeated South Australia 3/2 in its morning match and recorded the same result against Western Australia in the afternoon round. The individual match of the day was fought out between fellow Australian Junior Team Members Jason Scrivener from WA and Matthew Giles from NSW, with Scrivener claiming the match 3/2. The surprise result for the day was two wins by the ACT, when it defeated locals Western Australia 3/2 and South Australia 3/2.
