DeLaet, Kuchar lead stormy Crowne Plaza

Graham DeLaet holds the clubhouse lead at the Crowne Plaza Invitational, with Matt Kuchar&aposs second round postponed due to bad weather. Canadian DeLaet&aposs posted a three-under 67 on day two of the PGA Tour event at the Colonial Golf Club. His round on Friday was interrupted by a thunder storm in Fort Worth, Texas, but he resumed to finish the day outright second at nine under, ahead of a four-way tie for third. Kuchar was five under through 15 holes, 10 under for the tournament, when another impending storm prompted play to be suspended early. The American will pick up his second round early on Saturday looking to maintain the form which saw him sink five birdies and go bogey-free on Friday. Three of the all-American group tied for third were able to complete their second rounds, with Josh Teater (67), Jordan Spieth (67) and Steve Flesch (64) in the clubhouse at eight under. The other, overnight leader Ryan Palmer, is level par through 12 holes, eight-under overall courtesy of his blistering start to the competition on Thursday. Further back but by no means out of contention are Sweden&aposs Freddie Jacobson and American Chris Stroud, tied seventh at seven under. Marc Leishman is the best-placed Australian in the field, one of 10 players tied for ninth at six under. Greg Chalmers holds a share of 40th at three under, while Robert Allenby and Stuart Appleby are tied 64th at one under, through 12 and 13 holes of their second rounds respectively, and in danger of missing the half-way cut.
