Tasmania s Ashlee Dewhurst has narrowly missed out on a player s card on offer for the 2013 Ladies European Tour in Marrakech, Morocco. Dewhurst was part of the 141 woman field spilt over the Al Maaden and Amelkis Resorts playing two rounds on each of the courses. After 72-holes, a cut at 60 plus ties preceded the fifth and final round on the Al Maaden Golf Resort to decide the top 30 full cards plus ties. Dewhurst finished in a tie for sixty seventh position following rounds of 74, 73, 70 and 71, an even-par total of 288. Dewhurst is understandably disappointed having finished one shot outside the cut which was set at one-under-par. Fellow Australians Nikki Campbell, Whitney Hillier, Sarah King successfully acquired cards following the fifth and final round. Nikki Campbell the best of the Australians tying for second with scores of 66, 71, 69, 69 and 66, a nineteen-under-par total of 341. West Australian Whitney Hillier was the next best placed Australian, Hillier tied for seventeenth at nine-under-par after posting a final round 73. Sarah King, a former Elvie Whitesides champion and South Australian shared twentieth position at eight-under-par. Victorian Breanna Elliott will be eligible for category 9b membership after finishing tied for forty ninth position on two-under-par. Thai amateur Ariya Jutanugarn moved to the top of the leader board after the third round with an impressive eight-under-par 64. Jutanugarn maintained her dominance of the field posting a fourth round 65 and fifth round 69 to finish at twenty four-under-par.
