The PGA of Australia is currently looking for the best possible candidates to enter the PGA Trainee Program and become future PGA Professionals.
PGA Professionals successfully undertake a variety of roles within the golf industry including Tournament Professionals, Head Professionals, Teaching Professionals and Club Managers, and play an essential role in the current and future success of the Australian golf industry by positively impacting the sport by connecting people to golf through:
• Introducing juniors and adults to the sport through introductory programs
• Improving peoples’ enjoyment of the sport through coaching programs
• Playing professional tournaments to promote the sport
• Staging fun events and competitions at golf clubs and facilities
• Ensuring golfers have the correct equipment for performance and enjoyment
•Owning, operating and managing golf clubs, pro-shops and facilities
• Connecting golf to local schools and the community
As a group, current and future PGA Professionals are the most significant single influence on the success of the Australian golf industry.
If you are successful in being selected for the PGA Trainee Program, you will complete 3 years of valuable workplace-based training under the supervision of a current PGA Professional, in addition to attaining Professional Golf Coach Accreditation and 3 nationally recognised qualifications before being allocated the valuable industry accreditation of Full Membership of the PGA of Australia.
