Dodt four off the pace

Aussie Andrew Dodt fired a three-under par 69 to move to within four shots of the lead after three rounds of the Vietnam Masters. Dodt was one of only 13 players out of the 69-man field that shot below 70 at the Vietnam Golf and Country Club. Dodt is in a tie for 13th place at six-under overall, four shots behind leaders Kodai Ichihara, Suk-min Pyo and Thongchai Jaidee. Another group of three, Young Nam, Rhys Davies and Artemio Murakami are all a shot back at nine-under. Jason King is a shot behind Dodt in 17th place, while Scott Barr and David Bransdon are both tied for 19th. Scott Barr blasted the tournament&aposs second hole-in-one at the par three eighth, but immediately gave it up at the next hole. “The hole-in-one was great but I double bogeyed the next hole, but that&aposs golf I guess,” said Barr, who is gunning for his first top-10 result this season. It has been a solid tournament for the Australian contingent with Gary Simpson, Unho Park and Neven Basic all tied for 26th place at three-under par. David Gleeson had a day to forget, shooting a six-over par 78 to slide down to 63rd place at four-over overall.
