National Squad members Jaimee Dougan and Ashley Ona teamed up to win the Australian Women’s Foursomes Championship at Riversdale Golf Club in Melbourne.
In fine weather, the Queensland pair led with a 2-under par 71 in the morning round and shot an afternoon 1-over par 74 to finish at 1-under and win by one stroke from Tatiana Wijaya (WA) and Alyssa Keir (WA) in second place at even par.
Australian Amateur medallist Breanna Elliott (Vic) and Grace Lennon (Vic) finished two shots behind in third place at 2-over par.
South Australian pair Jenny Lee and Caitlin Roberts finished two shots further back at 4-over par in fourth.
Ali Orchard (Qld) and Jo Charlton (Vic) finished in fifth place at 6-over par.
On Wednesday players will compete in the first round of the Women’s Riversdale Cup.
