Edition 17 Best of golf in SA at Mount Pleasant GC

The Mount Pleasant Golf Club is located near Mount Pleasant in the Adelaide Hills. Just 10 minutes from Birdwood, 30 minutes from Gawler and the Barossa Valley and only one hour from Adelaide.

This challenging 18 hole golf course is situated in a setting surrounded by vineyards and grazing stock and has maintained its country town hospitality.

The course offers a good variety of flat and undulating holes with tree lined fairways and challenging greens and is an ideal course for golfers of all abilities. The course has watered greens and fairways.

The Sunday Mail’s Ben Hook and Royal Adelaide Teaching Professional Daniel Blackwell reviewed the first three holes. Check out the videos below:

1st – 415 Par 4
To go for the glory shot or not is the big question on this hole. Will Daniel make the shot or end up further in the woods?

2nd – 155m Par 3

Tricky hole his one. Check out the video to see how not to hit your tee shot and see Ben explain one of the real quirks of the course…

3rd – 365m Par 4

Hitting a good drive is the key to this hole, over the water and you’re away. A great hole this one.
