Edition 28 Best of golf in SA at Barmera GC

Barmera is located a comfortable two and a half hour drive from Adelaide. Set in the heart of South Australia's Big River Country, this pretty town is nestled on the shores of beautiful Lake Bonney.

Barmera Golf Course is a par 72, eighteen hole greens course cut into natural Riverland terrain. Its greens are highly regarded as exceptionally good by all who play them. The course layout is challenging with a number of holes that stand out as being significant.

Ben Hook from the Sunday Mail and Royal Adelaide Teaching Professional Daniel Blackwell review three holes, the 15th, 17th & 18th.

Reviewed: 15th hole 337m Par 4

A really great golf hole, with the option to go aggressive or conservative off the tee. With a long narrow green and danger to the left, make sure if you miss, it’s to the right. The boys each play this hole differently, take a look.

Reviewed: 17th hole 110m Par 3

Designed on the famous par 3, 16th at Augusta this is a great little hole. With a hazard front and left and a two tiered green it’s a hole you just have to get out and play.

Reviewed: 18th hole 485m Par 5

Both boys make par here, this is a great finishing hole. Take a look here.
