The Sunday Mail’s Ben Hook and Royal Adelaide Teaching Professional Daniel Blackwell have ventured out to The Vines of Reynella Golf Club which is situated at the gateway to Adelaide's southern wine region.
The course is a testing par 71 with tree lined undulating fairways and with greens acknowledged as some of the best in South Australia.
On this outing the boys tackled the nicely framed 149m par 3, 3rd hole with trees surrounding the green. Hitting into the wind and with the pin at the back of the green, Hook selects 5 iron and Blackwell 6 iron. One of them makes birdie…..check out the video here:
The duo also played the 185m par 3, 6th hole. With three bunkers to negotiate on the right hand side of the green, the place to be on this hole is the big landing spot to the left. One of them finds the bunker…..is it Ben or Daniel?
The 18th hole was also on the agenda, the 406m par 4, which has a little right to left dog-leg. With the wind howling, and Ben pushing his drive into the light rough, will Daniel’s instructions on how to play a low drawing shot, pay dividends for Ben – Watch below:
