The 2019 Victorian Men’s Par 3 Championship finished in the same fashion as the Women's with a playoff between two junior players Jasper Stubbs and Matthew Edwards, with Matthew winning on the first playoff hole.

Overnight leader Stubbs battled all day not able to make a birdie to finshed six over, but Edwards held in there all day to catch Stubbs.

Stubbs was in control with three holes to go but dropped two late bogeys to force a playoff against Edwards.

Edwards remianed calm during the play off putting his ball to 12 feet while Stubbs had his work cut out for him needing to make up and down.

Stubbs had to settle for 4 after leaving his chip 6 feet short and Edwards nestled his first putt to “gimme distance” to take home the title.

The net division was a tight contest between Ray Coleman (Hill Top), Paul McInnes (Kyabram Parkland) and Seth Spenceley (Warburton) with Ray winning by 1 stroke.

The Victorian Men’s Par 3 Championship has been played at Kyabram Parkland Golf Club since 2005.

“Kyabram Parkland has been a great host of the Victorian Par 3 Championships over recent years,” Therese Magdulski, Golf Australia’s Golf Operations and State Manager, Victoria, said.

“It is always a pleasure for our events team to visit the venue and conduct the event here.”
