Elizabeth Elmassian (The Australian GC – NSW) has won the 2014 Coca Cola Amatil Northern Territory Women's Amateur by a convincing eight shots. Elizabeth went into the final round holding a one shot lead from Haley Bettencourt (Mandurah GC – WA).

Elizabeth took a stranglehold on the title after shooting an impressive four under on the front nine to lead by seven shots with nine holes to play. She raced to six under after fourteen holes, and even after conceding a bogey on the 18th hole she was still able to shoot a great round of 68 (five under par).

Hayley Bettencourt (Mandurah – WA), tried valiantly to match Elizabeth but just could not convert her chances. A birdie on the 18th hole sealed the runner-up position for Hayley. Nadine Smith (WA) shot a par round of 73 to seal third position.  Kirsty Hodgkins (QLD) and Page Stubbs (NSW) finished equal fourth.

Best of the locals was thirteen year old Alizza Hetherington (Darwin Golf Club) who finished in equal ninth position which was an outstanding effort for the youngster. As a result of her efforts, Alizza won the NT Women's Amateur Closed title. She is certainly a player of the future.
