England complete dominant Ashes win

England s National Squad completed two excellent days of golf with a 13-5 victory over Australia in the 2011 Ashes at the stunning Elanora Country Club near Sydney s northern beaches. Leading 6-3 after the opening day, England continued their morning foursomes dominance on Wednesday to extend their lead to 8-4. Rory Bourke (VIC) and Kalem Richardson (TAS) won their match 2&1 against Neil Raymond and David Coupland but the NSW pairing of Brett Drewitt and Jake Higginbottom lost 2&1 while Tim Hart (QLD) and Daniel Bringolf (NSW) also lost 2&1. Australia needed to win at least four of the afternoon singles matches to level the score but the English players put the result beyond doubt with strong wins to Ben Loughrey (5&3) and Darren Wright (5&3). Rory Bourke was the only Australian to be undefeated for the day, winning his singles match 1up against Neil Raymond.
